海外旅行再開のためにご尽力していただいている日本の旅行業界関係者に篤く感謝の意を表します。私たちは、日本の観光客の皆様を再びニューカレドニアへお迎えできるようになったことを嬉しく思いつつ、今後、更に多くのお客様のご来訪を心待ちにしております。
新型コロナウイルスの影響により全世界の国境が閉鎖された中で、ニューカレドニアは2022年 8 月に水際対策を緩和して外国からの旅行者の受け入れを再開しました。以来、フランス本国、また近隣国であるオーストラリア、ニュージーランドからの旅行者は回復傾向にあります。現在は特別な規制もなく出入国が可能になっており、日本からの旅行者においても、徐々にその流れが強まりつつあります。日本市場はニューカレドニアにとって常に重要な位置付けにあり、訪問者数ではフランス、オーストラリアに次ぐ規模を誇り、コロナ禍以前の2019年、日本からは約20,000人の旅行者がニューカレドニアを訪れていました。日本と ニューカレドニアをつなぐエアカラン（エア・カレドニア・インターナショナル）は、現在成田・ヌメア間を約8時間30分の直行便で週３便を運航しています。
ニューカレドニア観光局の日本市場における業務は、2021年1月から2023年6月までエアカラン日本支社が代行しておりましたが、6月末日で観光局業務代行を終了し、航空会社としての本来の業務を遂行します。７月より新しく株式会社マイルポスト（東京都千代田区）に日本でのプロモーション活動を委託し、日本支局長には斉藤麻帆を選任いたしました。

ニューカレドニア観光局は日本での活動の拠点を新たにしたこの機会を得て、エアカラン共々積極的にマーケティング活動を展開してゆく所存です。

Bonjour from New Caledonia!
First of all, we would like to thank the Japanese tourism industry for all its efforts to restart overseas travel… We are delighted to welcome back Japanese tourists and hope to welcome more in the months to come!
While all borders of the world were closed due to COVID-19, New Caledonia has relaxed its border control measures to allow foreign travelers to enter the country from August 2022. Travelers from France and neighboring countries such as Australia and New Zealand were among the first to recover, and Japanese travelers are now able to enter and leave the country without any special restrictions as they did before the pandemic. Japan has always been a historic and priority market for New Caledonia, second only to France and Australia in terms of visitors. Before the pandemic in 2019, about 20,000 Japanese travelers visited New Caledonia. Aircalin (Air Caledonia International), currently operates three time-weekly flights to New Caledonia a week from Narita.
Aircalin Japan has been acting as the agent for the New Caledonia Tourism in the Japanese market during the pandemic from 2021 to June 2023. In order to carry out its original duties as an airliner, it will terminate acting as the agent for the New Caledonia Tourism in June, and from July, Mile Post Consultants, Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) has been selected as a new representative agent in Japan. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Maho SAITO as a Country Manager for New Caledonia Tourism – Japan.
